A GOOD Samaritan was fined £70 for staying just one second too long in a hospital’s car park.
Kevin Williams, 32, parked in a 20-minute maximum-stay area while taking a distressed stranger to the hospital.

He later got a letter from operator ParkingEye saying he had overstayed.
Cameras at the car park, for Llandough hospital, near Cardiff, showed him arriving at 12.19pm and 53 seconds and leaving at 12.39pm and 54 seconds.
Kevin, of nearby Penarth, appealed but was told to pay.
He has done so to avoid further costs.

He said: “The frustrating thing is the complete lack of empathy.”
ParkingEye said their decision to fine was upheld by an independent appeals service.
